It is surrounded by a long promenade and its seafront is one of the largest urban public spaces open to the sea on the Costa Dorada. La Pineda beach, well known for its high quality and environmental landscape, has proudly flown the blue flag since 1999. The promenade and beach at La Pineda are all adapted for people with reduced mobility, with no architectural barriers. There are several accessibility points on the beach, from the promenade to the sand and right down to the shoreline. There are also parking spaces, pedestrian crossings and an amphibious chair. Salou's beaches are perfect for relaxing with your family in summer. Choose among nine beaches in the area. Most of them are urban, but it is also possible to access more remote and natural beaches to enjoy peace and tranquility. The beaches are all different lengths, with coastlines ranging from just under 50 metres to well over a kilometre. The most recommended beaches for family tourism are Poniente and Levante, which have internationally recognized quality certificates, both for their waters and for their services.

The fine, golden sand is ideal for sunbathers, but you can also rent boats and inflatables if you prefer to try some water activities. There are also two children's areas on both beaches so that the kids can also have fun out of the water. Salou’s promenade is one of the best known in all of Catalonia. Adorned with some very tall and impressive palm trees, it invites you to stroll and enjoy its atmosphere, ideal for the most active and energetic families.
